Can we prevent varicose veins?

Varices located directly under the skin, anyone can diagnose alone. They look like small bulges or large twisted clusters of veins of blue or purple. Swelling and pain may occur in the area of varicose veins.

Varices arise when venous valves do not work properly. Healthy venous valves work like valves that keep blood flowing in the right direction. When the integrity of the vein is compromised, the blood flow becomes abnormal. Blood flows in the opposite direction, causing it to accumulate inside the vein. Such is the mechanism of the formation of varicose veins. Varicose veins, though unesthetic, seem harmless.

Varices can appear anywhere on the body: on the arms, on the legs, on the stomach, and even in the intimate area. Hemorrhoids are varicose veins. Obesity and pregnancy are conducive to the formation of varicose veins.

People with varicose veins may use simple preventive measures to reduce discomfort.

If you work in a sitting position, remember to take breaks. Stop working every hour and do a few basic exercises to stimulate blood flow. Just make a few jumps and squats.

If you have problems with varicose veins, do not allow leg fatigue. Frequent breaks help to ease the pain. In order to relieve swelling you can sleep with your legs raised a little higher than usual. Also try to sit with your legs raised above the chest level.

If you are overweight and you do not have varicose veins yet, work on changing your lifestyle and lose some extra weight. Overweight and obese people are more likely to develop varicose veins. You will benefit from any exercise that works on the leg muscles. Jogging and walking are very beneficial for the whole body.

Avoid using straps and tight clothing that can block blood circulation. Also try to avoid crossing your legs while sitting because it limits blood flow.

In addition to ugly appearance and other ailments, varicose veins rarely lead to complications. However, if varicose veins are painful or cause severe discomfort, it is essential to contact your doctor for medical methods for getting rid of varicose veins.
