Causes and treatment of varicose veins

Varicose veins are a very unpleasant ailment. In addition to the ugly appearance, untreated varicose veins may have dangerous consequences for health. Most often they appear on the calves or thighs, but in fact they can be formed on every part of the body. Varicose veins are often painful and itchy, and scratching them can lead to the appearance of open wounds. Varicose veins are more common in women than in men and in people over 50 years of age. Getting rid of varicose veins is not an easy matter, but there are several methods worth trying out.

Despite many studies, the exact cause of varicose veins is still unknown. There are several hypotheses that explain why varicose veins are formed.

We know that varicose veins are formed when the blood accumulates in the veins, causing a local increase in pressure and stretching of the veins. The permeability of small capillaries also increases, which is the reason for the formation of edema. The cause of regression of blood in the veins is poor venous valve work, which may result from genetic predisposition, prolonged standing or from a sedentary lifestyle and too little physical activity.

Some people say the risk of developing varicose veins is greater in obese people. The cause may be increased pressure in the abdominal cavity, which makes it difficult to drain blood from the legs and causes blood stasis. Secondly, people with overweight often have hormonal disorders, which may result in thrombosis and varicose veins. The cause of varicose veins may also be hormonal changes in pregnant women or during adolescence or menopause.

Currently, there is no cure for varicose veins. However, there are therapies, dietary supplements, herbs and natural methods that significantly alleviate the symptoms associated with varicose veins.

The most common way of treatment that eliminates severe varicose veins is sclerotherapy. This procedure is painless and does not require anesthesia. Treatment consists of injecting into the vein chemical agents that seal the walls of the veins and reduce blood flow. Within a few weeks varicose veins change into scars and disappear forever. In some cases, additional treatments may be required.

Before you decide to undergo surgery or sclerotherapy, try using natural and non-invasive methods, which in many cases help to remove ailments. Try Varicoz.

In my opinion, varicose veins can only be treated with a surgical operation or with more modern procedures that mechanically remove deformed blood vessels in various ways. I think dietary supplements can prevent varicose veins, but they are not effective enough to make the existing ones disappear.
