The link between liver cirrhosis and diet

Cirrhosis is the last stage of long-term liver disease. It is a very serious health problem that is associated with many ailments and conventional medicine does not give any chance to restore the healthy functioning of the liver. Fortunately, there is a natural treatment and prevention, which can include a healthy diet.

Cirrhosis of the liver manifests itself as a physical change in the tissues of this organ – scarring of tissues in the liver. The causes of liver cirrhosis include the same factors that also cause other liver disease (eg hepatitis), i.e. among others: improper diet, alcohol abuse, obesity and metabolic diseases.

Incorrect diet and chronic alcohol abuse are the most common factors that cause fatty liver disease. The worst dietary choices are saturated low-grade fats, fried products, products preserved with artificial substances and highly processed foods. Such a diet leads to an increase in triglycerides and cholesterol in the blood and is the most common cause of liver disease, including cirrhosis.

The correct diet for the treatment and prevention of liver cirrhosis.

The most important for maintaining the liver in health is to eat a large amount of vegetables and less processed products. The following should be selected among vegetables: cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, celery, kale, spinach, dandelion, watercress, asparagus, beets, carrots, cucumbers, herbs and spices (parsley, mint, coriander, basil). The diet should include fresh, raw vegetables, which are a key factor in maintaining the liver in health and in preventing liver problems in the future. A good choice is also vegetable juices, which are easily digested and do not require a lot of liver involvement.

Liver killers are simple sugars, hydrogenated oils (trans fats) and saturated fat derived from animals produced on an industrial scale. The only preferred form of saturated fats are those obtained from animals reared in natural conditions. All toxic substances are accumulated in adipose tissue – this applies to both humans and animals. That is why it is so important to choose meat from natural farms. The best sources of high-quality fat in the diet are nuts, seeds and fatty fish.

To prevent liver disease, discard all food products containing preservatives, fillers and any synthetic additives.

Remember also to choose organic or organic food as often as possible. In this way you will help to release the liver from the threat and prevent possible liver diseases in the future.
