Coronaviruses can cause respiratory and digestive diseases. They also contribute to epidemics that occur among mammals and birds every few years. The first viruses of this type were detected in the middle of the 20th century, but they only caused mild diseases. However, the first deadly crown-viruses were discovered in China in 2002 (SARS) and the next – also deadly to humans and animals – at the end of 2019 (also in China). Some say that in both cases the virus was released from the laboratories where the research was carried out. Is this really true?
The name of these viruses comes from the characteristic envelope that looks similar to the crown.
What are the symptoms of a viral infection?
The first symptoms are similar to flu symptoms: sore throat, cough, headache, high fever, lack of energy and lack of appetite. Viruses can be found in the secretions of an infected human or animal body. Infection can be caused by contact with these secretions. The deadly strain of the virus causes severe respiratory failure, which can be life threatening. Infection with less dangerous forms of the virus causes common cold symptoms: runny nose and cough. In most cases, this type of infection clears up after a few days. The matter can get complicated for children and the elderly, among whom infection can lead to pneumonia or bronchitis, among others. This scenario applies especially to people with weakened immune systems.
Much more serious symptoms occur in a person infected with more dangerous types of the virus. The first stage of infection is characterized by high temperature, which is accompanied by symptoms from the digestive system (diarrhea), respiratory (coughing) and muscular system (myalgia). Gastrointestinal infection can be severe enough to cause breathing difficulties and even death.
Virus infection can occur through direct contact. The presence of the virus was found in blood, feces, urine and respiratory secretions. To avoid infection with the virus, avoid direct contact with a sick person.
How to treat a viral infection?
To date, no effective method of treating a viral infection has been invented. Preparations with anecdotal evidence are often used as ad hoc agents. The most effective way to fight viral infections is to strengthen your immune system. Regular dietary supplement IMMUNE+++ can be one of the good ways. In addition, you should apply the general principle of preventing viral infections, i.e. avoiding direct contact with infected people.
Covid-19 is a really big problem. Let the pandemic pass as soon as possible… So many innocent people die … God bless you all.
Instead of trying to fight viruses, I believe that we should focus on supporting the immune system. And that’s all. A healthy organism is strong and no virus can kill it. Don’t fight the world, learn yourself to love it!
