Does detoxification make sense?

Why is the topic of detoxification more and more popular lately? This is because the awareness of the need to look after your body increases. Now we know that our body must be in “balance” if we want to feel healthy and enjoy a long and happy life.

What is detoxification?

In the simplest terms, it is the removal of toxins from our bodies. Detoxification applies to toxins that we produce, consume or absorb. Our organisms produce toxins during everyday functioning. If the body is strong and works properly, then the toxins are effectively eliminated. However, the modern lifestyle does not help the body function. It can be a gentle and calm therapy, or a more rigorous cleansing procedure, during which some foods should be avoided for a long time. When selecting a detoxification program that is right for you, you need to take into account the overall health and efficiency of the excretion system.

To cleanse the body safely and effectively, it should be carried out with the support of a doctor. Most of us know when it needs detoxification. Signs of poisoning with toxins are easy to self-diagnose: chronic fatigue, depressed mood, need for long sleep, lack of energy, long sleep, “bags” under the eyes, skin deterioration, frequent colds and infections. The first step is to go to the doctor in order to rule out more serious causes of discomfort.

The basic way to get rid of toxins is a detox diet, which is usually very simple. It consists of wholegrain foods, fruits, vegetables, grains, a lot of water and lean meat. Salt and sugar should be reduced or eliminated completely. Such a diet is the best way to rest and balance the body. A more drastic method of diet is total fasting. Periodic conscious abstaining from food intake has been known to humanity for centuries and it helps to detoxify the body.

Toxins excellently come out of the body along with sweat. It is the healthiest to sweat during physical exertion, in a warm bath, or in a sauna. Remember that antiperspirants inhibit the secretion of sweat!
